The graduate program in public health includes the Academic Master and Doctoral (PhD) courses, having been recommended by CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior) with the concept 4.
The program is associated to the Public Health evaluation area of CAPES, understanding it as a “scientific field where they produce knowledge about health and where they operate different disciplines (social sciences, epidemiology and health planning and management) and a set of practices” (CAPES, 2009 document of area), especially those addresses to the National Health System (SUS).
