Cellular and Molecular Immunology

imunologia

Leaders: Rodrigo Corrêa de Oliveira and Jaquelline Germano de Oliveira

Mission:

Study Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology, including research studies involving parasites and chronic-degenerative diseases, immuno-epidemiology, developing products like vaccines, drugs and methodology for diagnostics and disease prevention.

Action:

Research areas of cellular and molecular immunology of chronic-degenerative diseases and the ones caused by different types of parasites or infectious agents. We also work in epidemiologic and population genetics studies of the diseases above mentioned. Our research aim to develop vaccine targets, drugs and diagnostic methodology to improve disease treatment and investigate the mechanisms under the pathogen-host interaction.
