Teaching in the Fiocruz Minas, unity of the Fundação Oswaldo Cruz/Fiocruz in Minas Gerais state, aims the training and qualification of human resources for the National health system (Sistema Único de Saúde – SUS) and for science, technology and innovation.
There are two graduate programs (stricto sensu) recommended by Capes (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior): Health Sciences and public health – both with the Academic Masters and PhD courses.
There are also institutional programs of scientific initiation (IC) focused on the undergraduated students – PIBIC and PIBITI funded by CNPq and FAPEMIG and other program, named PROBIC (Scientific Vocation program or BIC-junior) focused on the high school students from public schools supported by FAPEMIG.
